Working with Nicole has been an outstanding experience for CIS. Nicole began by reviewing our curriculum and assessment program before she spent time at our school interviewing teachers and students. In the end, Nicole produced exactly what she promised us: a comprehensive evaluation of our mathematics program with solid recommendations on what to do next. She proved herself to be knowledgeable and wise in her strategies and work. She has set us on a path to the next level of excellence in our mathematics curricula and instruction. And, the best part is that Nicole is delightful to work with and genuinely cares about teachers and students in their mathematics journeys.

Nicole is inspirational and it has been an absolute pleasure to learn from her. Switching my teaching focus to ensure children ‘catch number sense’ by incorporating daily number talks and other routines (designed to build number sense) modelled by Nicole, has brought joy and clarity to my teaching of mathematics. The children in my class get excited for their lessons now - as do I!"

Nicole’s work truly shifted the culture, understanding of, and approach to mathematics in the ES at ISG Jubail. Her time training the teachers and assistant teachers has proved invaluable, with both sets flourishing, and as a result, enabling students to have a richer experience of mathematics both in and out of the classroom. Further to this, her work with parents has also been crucial, as it engaged parents and given them a better understanding of what effective mathematics teaching is and what learning mathematics really should look like. Her thorough knowledge in the subject has supported our future professional development opportunities for staff and was influential in our eventual adoption of an alternative mathematics curriculum that was more in line with effective and relevant practices. I cannot recommend her enough.

Nicole is an absolute inspiration and a joy to work with. She has introduced us to a new perspective to mathematical learning and has been instrumental in helping us to embed this into our curriculum. Children approach maths with increased confidence to learn from their mistakes, deepen their understanding, reasoning skills and explanations.

I truly believe everything happens for a reason and I cannot explain what exactly compelled me to reach out to you when I did, but the timing was spot on. I start my year with a Four-9's and Four-4's activity. A few years back, I almost ditched the activity so I could jump into my curriculum sooner to meet state testing pressures. I couldn't let it go and I still start my year with it... After 24 years of teaching, I am still figuring out who I am as a math educator. Thank you for helping me reinvent myself.
